Your role:

Oversee enterprise database environments with a focus on availability, performance, security and scalability. The role partners closely with senior leadership, infrastructure teams, application support and external vendors to support current operations and long-term growth.

What you'll be doing:
  • Manage, coordinate and support Databases related on demands, alerts and issue resolution
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors and resources, IT Infrastructure teams and application support teams
  • Work with Senior Leadership to develop structure, resources, and processes to lead the organization's current activities and long-term projected growth
  • Establish regular touchpoints for communication and adequate information flow between different departments
  • Lead projects from a database perspective like upgrades, from and service objectives and projects
  • Plan, organize and coordinate Patching schedules (DB hosts and DB's)
  • Handle relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure delivery of high-quality services
  • Interact regularly with customers to understand their business and to anticipate the needed IT changes. Lead business relationships.
  • Implement database security measures and ensure data integrity.
  • Oversee database backup and recovery processes.
  • Ensure timely and effective incident resolution, problem management, change management and service request fulfillment.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and technologies to make informed recommendations for improvement.
  • Architect and ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of systems with regards to databases
  • Test and document system recoveries and assure recoverability.
  • Ability to work with personnel from all levels in different countries, different cultures and external partners
  • Performs other duties as requested.
What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven Oracle Database Senior Administration experience (10+ years), including 7+ years on large enterprise applications/database.
  • Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service.
  • Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.
  • Experience and know-how of Oracle 12c, 19c
  • Experience in AWS RDS (Postgre

    SQL, Oracle)
  • Experience and know-how of Oracle tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN, Data Pump, ASM, Golden Gate, Data guard
  • Experience in security settings and gap identification
  • Able to follow-through on tasks and projects
  • Strong analytical skills and communication skills
  • Knowledge of real time data streaming products or tools (DMS, Oracle Golden gate, etc.)
  • Experience in Cloud environments like AWS
  • Experience working with Dev Ops tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, etc.
Certifications:
  • Oracle certification (OCP or similar) Required
Plus, at least one of the following industry certifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator
