Boomi Integration Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:
  Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex integration solutions using the Dell Boomi Atom Sphere platform. This includes creating mappings, data transformations, and custom scripting (JavaScript/Groovy).
• Integration and Connectivity:
  Build and maintain integrations between various cloud (e.g., Salesforce, Snowflakes, SAP) and on-premise applications using a range of connectors (Database, SFTP, HTTP, SOAP/REST web services, EDI).
• Administration and Platform Management:
• Runtime Management:
  Configure and manage Boomi Atoms, Molecules, and Clouds (on-premise and cloud-based). Having knowledge in setting up DR runtimes (Atoms, Molecules) in Boomi for on-premises setup.
• Monitoring and Support:
  Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure the overall health and performance of the integration layer.
• Deployment & Security:
  Manage deployment/release management, implement security protocols (HTTPS, firewalls, encryption), and ensure compliance with data privacy standards.
• User/License Management:
  Handle user accounts, roles, privileges, and license monitoring within the Boomi environment.
• Architecture & Best Practices:
  Define integration architecture, ensure best practices and coding standards are followed, and optimize existing integrations for performance and scalability.
• Collaboration & Leadership:
  Gather requirements from cross-functional teams, create detailed technical documentation, and support other developers.

Experience:

Typically requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Dell Boomi platform and overall 8-10 years' experience in enterprise integration.

• Primary Technical

Skills:

• Strong expertise in Boomi components (Processes, Connectors, Maps, Profiles, etc.).
• Proficiency in web services (SOAP, REST) and data formats (XML, JSON, Flat Files, EDI).
• Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript or Groovy.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL for querying and integration requirements.

• Secondary Technical

Skills:

• DR topology set-up and maintenance.
• Atom/molecule topology and architecture.
• JIRA Stories creation and management.

•

Certifications:

Professional Boomi Developer Certification is required. Architect or Administrator certifications are a plus.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for collaborating with various stakeholders and troubleshooting issues effectively.

• Methodologies:
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
