The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for HR Systems serves as a strategic connector between business requirements and technology solutions. This role collaborates with stakeholders, project teams, and development teams to define requirements, analyze HR processes, and support successful system implementations. Expertise in SAP Success Factors and Service Now HR Service Delivery is essential for driving system enhancements, improving data integrity, and enabling efficient HR operations.
This position operates in a hybrid work environment
, requiring onsite presence at least four days per week
.
- Partner with Product Managers to translate the annual roadmap into actionable project plans.
- Own key roadmap components and ensure alignment across HR, IT, and business units.
- Work with HR stakeholders to identify solutions for system‑related business challenges.
- Apply structured requirements analysis and critical thinking to define functional needs.
- Apply Agile principles to HR system enhancements.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand‑ups.
- Facilitate communication between business users and development teams.
- Define scope and elaborate feature requirements for HR system improvements.
- Analyze HR business processes and recommend improvements aligned with SAP HCM and Success Factors best practices.
- Gather master data requirements and support HR data transitions.
- Maintain and update Success Factors security roles.
- Configure and maintain HR case management and lifecycle workflows.
- Troubleshoot HRSD issues and resolve configuration defects.
- Oversee integrations with core systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Coordinate HRSD responsibilities across multiple business units.
- Support complex change initiatives related to HR systems.
- Apply SCRUM and Agile change management practices.
- Translate requirements into actionable change plans.
- Familiarity with HR tools, processes, and HRIS best practices.
- Experience collaborating with geographically distributed product owners.
- Hands‑on experience with Success Factors modules:
Recruiting, Learning, Performance & Goal Management. - Integration experience including writing functional specifications, creating test scripts, and performing unit testing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Lead working sessions with vendors and business stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Partner with development teams to ensure intended software usage is clearly defined.
- Promote automated regression and functional testing.
- Serve as a liaison between IT and HR leadership to maintain the system roadmap.
- Communicate effectively across email, phone, and virtual platforms.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to support organizational goals.
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings and initiatives.
- Maintain and analyze data using Excel, SAP, and HRIS tools.
- Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Lead or support special projects aligned with departmental objectives.
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Resolve inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
- Maintain secure handling of sensitive information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of technology‑related experience.
- At least 2 years of HR systems experience.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Success Factors or comparable HCM systems.
- Experience with Service Now HRSD.
- Vendor and stakeholder collaboration for requirements development.
- Integration experience using Success Factors API.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, Continuous Delivery, and Scrum.
