Principal Production Support Specialist - Core Platforms
The Principal Production Support Specialist role within the Core Platforms team will play a critical role in supporting the operational health of the global payment network, transaction processing systems, and managing Issuer Identification Numbers (IINs). The role will be responsible for driving and managing the strategic relationship between Client Services and Infrastructure Services, assessing operational gaps in Global Operations, providing strategic solutions, maintaining alignment with industry best practices, and prioritizing client focus.
The ideal candidate will have a 360‑degree understanding of network operations and the payments landscape, a proven risk mindset, keen eye for detail in a high‑risk space, strong business analysis skills, and the ability to leverage data.
- Managing the transaction processing network, including IIN management
- Conducting hands‑on data analysis and providing an end‑to‑end business understanding of the payments landscape
- Managing client enablement on the network and providing support
- Handling compliance issues, enablement, and remediation
- Managing settlement disputes and interdependencies between networks
- Refining operational procedures and SLAs to ensure full optimization
- Identifying gaps and areas for improvement within the operations team
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least 6 years of payments industry experience in technology, operations, customer service, marketing, finance or communications
- At least 3 years of experience with Excel or Google Sheets
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Communications or Marketing
- 8+ years of payments industry experience in technology, operations, customer service, marketing, finance or communications
- SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certification
- Experience using SQL
- Teradata or Splunk knowledge
Riverwoods, IL: $132,800–$151,600;
Chicago, IL: $132,800–$151,600. Candidates hired in other locations will be subject to the applicable pay range. This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation.
