Commodity Manager, Frangrances

We are seeking a Commodity Manager to join our dynamic team and report to the Director of Strategic Sourcing as the number 2 person in the sourcing department.

• Lead development and execution of strategic sourcing and procurement plans for direct raw materials, driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, and inventory optimization.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Oversee supply‑demand balance, purchasing activities, and inventory performance, including cost tracking, aging materials, and ERP system accuracy.
• Partner cross‑functionally (e.g., operations, quality, finance) to establish cost standards, improve processes, and support business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement through alternate sourcing strategies, supplier performance management, and procurement best practices.
• Ensure adherence to safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements (FDA, GFSI, etc.) while supporting company quality systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
• 5‑10+ years of experience in strategic procurement role.
• Experience sourcing chemicals / raw materials for fragrances and flavors.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and ERP/MRP system expertise, with knowledge of regulatory and supply chain operations.
