The Manager, International Logistics plays a critical role supporting import operations across all FBIN companies. This position partners closely with Purchasing to align product delivery expectations to distribution centers throughout North America, while managing carrier relationships and driving performance on cost and service metrics.

The role also leads the annual RFP process in collaboration with Indirect Sourcing for drayage and transload services and works with forwarders and drayage technology providers to enhance shipment visibility and track key performance indicators. This position requires a strong operational mindset combined with the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives for FBIN's drayage and logistics information systems.

This role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, requiring in office presence Tues-Thurs at our Deerfield HQ.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, forwarders, and distribution centers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet delivery timelines and service expectations across FBIN.
  • Oversee integration of external systems with SAP and the Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance updates across various organizational levels.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve service levels and reduce transportation costs.
  • Align carrier capacity strategies with internal and external customer requirements.
  • Offer innovative solutions for complex transportation challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for FBIN's drayage operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics or transportation operations.
  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in a people leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of drayage and transload services.
  • Experience managing drayage carriers preferred.
  • Proven track record with RFP bid processes.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple transportation modes.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Mercury Gate and Infor Nexus preferred.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $70,000 USD - $110,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.

In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
