The Senior Manager of Supply Planning will be responsible for ensuring the right materials, components, and finished goods are available at the right time, cost and quality. This role will lead supply planning, and capacity management while building a resilient supply base that can scale with the business. This role will work closely with the MPS team responsible for the creation of an executable master production schedule and own the procurement of finished goods to satisfy customer demand while supporting targeted inventory levels, resource utilization, and meeting customer service expectations.
This role is a significant contributor and leader to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meeting.
This role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, reporting into our Deerfield, IL HQ 3x per week (Tues-Thurs).
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of supply planners, supply managers, and analysts. Build a high-performance team that includes establishing IDP’s, performance management and reviews, as well as 1:1 coaching and mentoring for all direct reports.
- Manage supply-demand imbalances with speed and precision, escalating risks proactively
- Identify risks in the supply network and lead efforts to mitigate them.
- Develop and maintain supply continuity plans for critical materials and components
- Lead high priority, cross functional supply chain projects that support the Fortune Brands Blueprint.
- Manage and facilitate the weekly S&OE Meeting. This includes working with teams to ensure critical items are identified for leadership review.
- Manage Master Data maintenance to ensure that lot sizes, ordering frequency, DC locations and manufacturing data are aligned for efficiency.
- Support the Supply Chain, Sourcing and Operations Teams by identifying the drivers for supply disruptions and analyzing the impact on Service, Productivity and Revenue. Perform ad hoc analysis and provide options for Service recovery.
- Seek solutions for situations that prevent Supply Planning from achieving our fillrate goals of 98%+ for retail customers and 95%+ for wholesale customers
- Lead monthly Supply consensus cycle as part of the S&OP processes to align supply with business demand. Ensure the master production schedule and sourcing supply fits with S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning Process) guidelines as set forth by the management team. Facilitate discussion and resolution where needed for potential supply constraints.
- Identify, resolve, and find root cause to planning issues by using appropriate problem-solving techniques.
- Understand the linkages and facilitate synergies between all areas that interact with/in the supply chain such as Material Planning, Inventory Management, Demand Planning, Production Scheduling, Transportation, Distribution Centers, Order Fulfillment, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance and The Business Units.
