Curaleaf – Retail Sales Associate

Shift Availability: 20–29 hours/week, weekend strongly preferred.

Hourly Pay Rate: $17.50/hr + tips.

As a Retail Sales Associate, you’ll be the face of Curaleaf, guiding customers through our cannabis products and providing top‑tier service.

• Greet and assist all guests in a warm, professional manner to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Build genuine connections with customers, ask thoughtful questions, and offer personalized product advice.
• Address concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Encourage loyalty by signing guests up for rewards programs.
• Work closely with your team to maintain a respectful, inclusive, upbeat atmosphere.
• Help open and close the store, handle cash, and follow all procedures and regulations.
• Check IDs, update customer profiles, and process transactions accurately.
• Keep the store clean, organized, fully stocked.
• Support inventory tasks such as restocking, fulfilling online orders, and counting products.
• Consistently meet and exceed daily sales goals by upselling and using product knowledge.
• Highlight deals and complementary items at checkout.
• Stay on top of promotions and product updates.
• Adapt to a fast‑paced, ever‑changing retail environment.
• Take on extra duties as needed to support the team and store success.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of customer‑facing or sales experience with a focus on service.
• At least 6 months of experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and handling cash.
• Ability to thrive independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong multitasking and priority‑shifting skills.
• Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new tools.
• Solid time‑management and organizational skills.
• Effective de‑escalation techniques and calm, solution‑oriented approach.
• Basic proficiency in math and computer applications.
• Positive, proactive mindset for resolving customer issues.
• Strong conflict‑resolution skills and composure under pressure.
• Initiative and team‑first attitude with readiness to support store leadership.
• Natural ability to build rapport and maintain lasting customer relationships.

• Background in a sales role with KPI tracking and meeting sales targets.
• Familiarity with e‑commerce systems and order fulfilment.
• Previous experience in a regulated retail setting.

Stand for extended periods, walk, talk, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds). Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less. Exposure to dust, pollen, plant pathogens, confined spaces, high stress tolerance, adaptability to an ever‑changing environment.
