Salary: $4,168 – $5,508 per month (anticipated $4,168)

Essential Functions
  • Act as a Child Protection Assistant
  • Observe children and report any unusual behavior related to mental, social, or overall health to the Child Protection Specialist
  • Inform clients about services available through DCFS and private agencies
  • Organize and maintain automotive records, including mileage, maintenance, and expenses
  • Translate and interpret, orally and in writing, for Spanish‑speaking clients regarding services and form completion
  • Perform other duties as reasonably within the scope of the job function
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, OR two years of experience working with culturally disadvantaged populations in a public or private social welfare program
  • Proficiency in speaking and writing Spanish at a colloquial skill level
Conditions of Employment
  • Must be able to travel; requires a valid driver’s license, daily automobile access, and proof of vehicle insurance
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must possess physical, visual, and auditory ability to carry out assigned duties
  • Overtime is required; may include scheduled, unscheduled, or last‑minute overtime, evenings, weekends, and 24‑hour on‑call responsibilities
