Job Title:
Social Service Aide I

Deerfield, IL, 60015
Salary: $4,168 – $5,508 per month (anticipated $4,168)
Essential Functions- Act as a Child Protection Assistant
- Observe children and report any unusual behavior related to mental, social, or overall health to the Child Protection Specialist
- Inform clients about services available through DCFS and private agencies
- Organize and maintain automotive records, including mileage, maintenance, and expenses
- Translate and interpret, orally and in writing, for Spanish‑speaking clients regarding services and form completion
- Perform other duties as reasonably within the scope of the job function
- High school diploma or equivalent, OR two years of experience working with culturally disadvantaged populations in a public or private social welfare program
- Proficiency in speaking and writing Spanish at a colloquial skill level
- Must be able to travel; requires a valid driver’s license, daily automobile access, and proof of vehicle insurance
- Must pass a background check
- Must possess physical, visual, and auditory ability to carry out assigned duties
- Overtime is required; may include scheduled, unscheduled, or last‑minute overtime, evenings, weekends, and 24‑hour on‑call responsibilities
