The Richland-Stryker Generation project comprises two peaking power plants. The Richland Peaking Plant, situated in Defiance, OH, features a robust power generation infrastructure with six units powered by natural gas as the primary fuel and distillate fuel oil (DFO) as a secondary option, collectively generating an impressive 450MW. The Stryker Peaking Plant in Stryker, OH, operates a single unit exclusively firing with distillate fuel oil, contributing 19MW to the energy landscape.

Opportunity Summary

The Office Administrator administers Human Resources procedures and benefits, maintains employee and operational records, processes payroll, and supports administrative functions for the Richland-Stryker Generation project. This role supports both peaking plants and ensures administrative processes align with plant operations, regulatory requirements, and corporate standards. Strong organizational skills and a working knowledge of plant operations and corporate departments are required.

Your scope of responsibility as Office Administrator includes the following primary functions:

Administrative
  • Manage and update site administrative procedures and records to support safe, compliant, and efficient peaking plant operations.
  • Coordinate employee training, certification, and compliance documentation to maintain accurate records and support regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain plant files, technical records, office supplies, and procurement documentation to ensure organized administrative support for site operations.
  • Support document control, reporting, and record retention processes, including preparation of materials for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Provide administrative support to plant leadership through scheduling, meeting coordination, outage support, employee event planning, and expense processing.
  • Track fuel and operational inventory documentation, assist with invoice and cost tracking activities, and support site financial and compliance reporting.
Accounting
  • Record and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and sales tax documentation in accordance with corporate policies, and maintain accurate vendor and contractual records.
  • Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate purchase orders and track procurement, inventory, and supporting documentation.
  • Review and match receiving documentation with purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and coordinate vendor payment requests to support timely processing.
  • Assist with monthly financial tracking, including identifying cost variances and supporting financial reporting, expense processing, and reimbursements.
  • Support internal and external audits by organizing and providing requested procurement, financial, and administrative documentation.
Human Resources
  • Coordinate site-level human resources administrative activities and serve as the primary liaison with the NAES Corporate Human Resources Manager.
  • Process employee payroll and related reporting in accordance with corporate procedures and applicable federal and state requirements, reviewing submissions for accuracy and coordinating corrections as needed.
  • Coordinate payroll-related documentation, including timesheets, labor charges, relocation expenses, and incentive or bonus payments.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including documentation related to leaves of absence, disability claims, workplace injuries, and workers' compensation.
  • Support plant staffing activities, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, new employee orientation, and administrative support of the Fitness for Duty program, including scheduling, testing coordination, and record management.
