Program Coordinator TRIO Student Support Services

Defiance College invites applications for the position of Assistant Director for TRIO Student Support Services (SSS). The TRIO program provides outreach and student services designed to support first-generation, low-income, and/or underrepresented students, some of whom may have documented disabilities. The primary function of the Coordinator is to serve as a Success Coach/Academic Advisor to TRIO program participants. Responsibilities will include coordinating and implementing the summer bridge program, recruiting, training, and managing student mentors;

and organizing educational and cultural programming activities. You will help guide these students through their higher education journey.

This is a 12-month, full-time, grant funded position. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and have some administrative experience. Knowledge of leadership, event/program planning is strongly preferred. The Coordinator reports to the TRIO Director and serves as part of the Academic Success Center at Defiance College.
