General SummaryAs an Injection Mold Press Operator at DECKED, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of injection molding machines and the successful assembly of components to meet our high-quality standards. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to teamwork will be essential in ensuring that our products maintain their superior quality and durability.
EssentialJob Functions
- Perform assembly tasks, combining molded components and other parts to create finished products.
- Utilize hand tools, fixtures, and equipment to assemble parts accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct visual and functional checks of assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and report any defects or deviations from specifications during the assembly process.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines to ensure consistent product quality.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to verify that they meet DECKED's specifications and standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep work area clean and organized to optimize efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets and meet customer demands.
- Communicate effectively to report any issues or updates during the production process.
- Assist and support colleagues in different areas as needed.
Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in injection molding machine operation and assembly is preferred.
- Basic understanding of injection molding processes and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Proficient in using hand tools and small power tools for assembly tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet production targets.
- Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward process improvement.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
