We are seeking an Industrial Electrical Inside Sales Representative to join our NW Ohio team. In this role, you will collaborate with customers, vendor partners, and outside sales professionals to provide product expertise, responsive service, and solutions that help drive success across every partnership.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in electrical distribution, industrial supply, automation, or inside sales, as well as motivated early-career sales professionals looking to build a long-term career in the industrial technology sector.

Compensation Base Salary: $50,000 – $73,500 depending on experience

Average Annual Commission: $2,500 – $5,000

Total Compensation Potential: $52,500 – $78,500+What You’ll DoAs an Inside Sales Representative, you will play an important role in supporting customers, strengthening vendor partnerships, and contributing to the success of the McNaughton-McKay team.

Key responsibilities include:

Serving as a primary point of contact for customer accounts, providing product guidance, pricing, and order support

Preparing quotes and managing customer orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery

Supporting outside sales representatives with customer opportunities and project coordination

Sourcing non-stock products and collaborating with vendor partners and purchasing teams

Tracking open orders and expediting shipments to meet customer timelines

Providing product information and technical support for industrial electrical and automation solutions

Identifying opportunities to recommend additional products or solutions that support customer operations

Collaborating with internal teams to deliver a consistent and dependable customer experience

Products and Solutions You May Work With Industrial electrical components

Automation and control systems

PLC platforms and industrial networking

Sensors, safety systems, and machine controls

Motor controls and drives

Power distribution equipment

Industrial automation technologies used in modern manufacturing

Ideal Background Candidates with experience in the following industries are encouraged to apply:

Electrical distribution

Industrial supply or MRO distribution

Automation and controls

Electrical contractor supply

Industrial equipment or manufacturing sales

Professionals from companies such as electrical distributors, industrial supply companies, automation integrators, Grainger, Fastenal, Motion Industries, and similar industrial suppliers often succeed in this role.

Graduates from professional sales or business programs with strong communication skills and an interest in industrial technology are also encouraged to apply.

Industry experience is preferred, but not required. Training is available for the selected candidate.

Qualifications High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred2+ years of experience in inside sales, electrical distribution, or industrial supply preferred

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and customer requests

Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and business systems
