Summary- Respond to telephone inquiries from participants and providers
- Resolve calls to completion, including investigation and call back if necessary
- Demonstrate consistent pleasant representation of the health plan and company
- Demonstrate consistent accuracy in providing benefit information
- Ability to explain insurance benefits and payment in layman’s terms
- Verify system information for specific demographics or coverage
- Assist with written bilingual documents when necessary
- Assist in other duties as assigned during any down time
- Bilingual, preferred but not required
- Knowledge of health insurance a plus
- Attention to detail and accuracy required
- Microsoft Windows and Office experience
- Ability to organize and multi-task
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
- Experience in customer service call center or similar position a plus
- Experience in health insurance administration support or medical billing customer support
- High School diploma or GED required
Full time (less than 40 hours but more than 30).
Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm. Requires in-office days but also offers at-home flexibility.

This is a union position. The current pay is $23.50 per hour. The pay rate offered is determined by the collective bargaining agreement and may be dependent on experience, education, location and other business factors.
