Job Overview
Ginger Bread House is a nurturing, play‑based environment that provides a safe and caring environment for all staff and families. We are looking to expand our staff with people that aspire to teach young children.
LocationsSun Prairie, Stoughton, McFarland, Windsor, Deforest, and Madison.
Pay & SchedulePay: $11.00 – $19.00 per hour.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday. Multiple shifts available.
- Our locations are open Monday through Friday: 7:00am – 5:30pm.
- Full‑Time: 8:30am – 5:30pm (40 hours per week).
- Part‑Time:
Flexible; we will work with you to create your own part‑time schedule.

- Must have completed a minimum of one course for credit or non‑credit in early childhood education, or completed the Assistant Teacher training within 6 months after assuming this position.
- Must be at least 17 years of age.

- Assist the teacher in care and education of children, classroom, and supplies.
- Take sole responsibility for the group for short periods of time as required.
- Follow program of center as designed by the curriculum teacher.
- Assist teacher in evaluation of children if need arises.
- Assist teacher in parent conferences if need arises.
- Assist in keeping center neat, attractive, and safe (inside and out).
- Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
