Product Design Engineer

The Product Design Engineer will lead product design efforts by developing, improving, and maintaining products from concept through production. This role blends mechanical engineering and industrial design, working closely with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet performance, quality, and aesthetic requirements. This is a highly independent role with full ownership over product design.

• Design and develop products from concept through production, ensuring functionality, quality, and manufacturability
• Create, update, and maintain 3D models and engineering drawings (Solid Works)
• Evaluate and improve existing product designs to enhance durability, consistency, and performance
• Collaborate with marketing on product features, branding elements, and design updates
• Identify and resolve product quality issues and implement design improvements
• Support manufacturing by assisting with product validation, setup, and ongoing production issues
• Inspect tooling and components to ensure quality standards are met and maintained
• Work cross-functionally with engineering and operations to ensure designs translate effectively to production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design (preferred)
• 12–15+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment
• Advanced Solid Works experience and strong 2D drawing capability
• Exposure to injection molding processes
• Experience owning products from concept through production and continuous improvement
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to work hands-on in a plant setting
• Experience supporting tooling, product quality, and production issues
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with operations and leadership

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
