Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Salary: $125,000 - $175,000.

We are seeking a hands‑on Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a fast‑paced manufacturing organization. This role manages day‑to‑day accounting functions, leads monthly close processes, maintains accurate cost accounting systems, and provides operational financial insight to support plant and company performance.

• Manage all day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors and tax advisors.

• Maintain and improve standard cost systems and product costing methodologies.
• Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, overhead, scrap and inventory adjustments.
• Partner with operations and plant leadership to improve cost controls and operational efficiency.
• Monitor inventory valuation, cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and inventory accuracy.
• Develop margin analysis and profitability reporting by product line, customer and plant.
• Support pricing analysis and operational decision‑making through financial data and KPI reporting.

• Work closely with production, supply chain, purchasing, and warehouse teams to improve financial visibility and accountability.
• Assist leadership with budgeting, forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and enhanced reporting capabilities.
• Support ERP system optimization and continuous process improvements.

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement within the finance team.
