Assistant Professor of Law – Contracts, Business Law, or Related Areas (6273)This entry‑level tenure‑track faculty position at the College of Law begins in August 2026.
Position SummaryDuties include engaging in high‑quality teaching and research, and active participation in law‑school and university service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Teaching courses in contracts, business law, or related areas.
- Conducting scholarly research and publishing in relevant venues.
- Participating in law‑school and university service responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an ABA‑accredited law school (or a law school program deemed substantively equivalent for bar admission).
- Ability to engage in high‑quality teaching.
- Ability to conduct high‑quality research.
- Ability to be an active participant in law‑school and university service.
- Interest in teaching contracts, business law, or related areas.
- Interest in teaching immigration or health courses is a plus, though not required.
- Record of scholarly publication.
- Teaching experience, particularly in a law school.
- Legal‑practice experience.
- Law‑journal membership.
- Anticipated appointment start date:
August 16, 2026. - Full‑time, 1.00 FTE.
- Standard hours per week: 37.5.
- Salary: starting at $95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
