Our client, a leader in Manufacturing industry, is seeking an Automation/Controls Project Manager to join their team.
Job Title: Automation/Controls (PLCs) Project Manager
Location: DeKalb, Illinois
Pay Range: $30 to $50 p/h on W-2
Duration: 12 month contract
- Lead automation and capital projects from concept through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and meet business objectives.
- Develop and manage project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and executive status reports.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, IT, Maintenance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and external vendors.
- Manage installation, commissioning, and startup activities for automation and capital equipment.
- Support implementation of warehouse automation technologies such as ASRS, AMRs, robotics, conveyor systems, and WES.
- BS in Engineering, Automation or related field
- Strong knowledge of Project Management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling systems, and supply chain processes.
- Experience implementing automation technologies within manufacturing or distribution environments.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
