Floor Technician

Overview

ESFM has an opening for a full time FLOOR TECHNICIAN.

Location:

1401

E. Gurler Road, DeKalb, IL 60115.

Schedule:

Full time; day shift (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM) and night shift (6:00 PM - 4:30 AM), hours may vary. Pay range: $16.50 to $17.00 per hour. Online applications accepted only.

Summary: Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface
• Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
