Position:
Alloyd Tech I — DeKalb, IL — Shift: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM — Pay Rate: $22.95/hour

The Alloyd Technician I is responsible for safely operating vacuum and pressure thermoforming machines to produce high-quality blister packaging. The role focuses on machine setup, tooling changeovers, quality control, and maintaining efficient production flow.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Verify job orders, materials, and tooling meet customer specifications.
• Retrieve, inspect, and prepare tooling components for production.
• Perform machine changeovers and make necessary adjustments.
• Fine‑tune press settings to ensure high-quality output.
• Record production data including setup, teardown, and quality checks.
• Work closely with packers to maintain product quality standards.
• Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the thermoforming area.
• Support reclaim quality checks and follow reclaim procedures.

• Experience operating machinery, including setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and enjoyment of hands‑on work.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Experience in thermoforming, injection molding, or manufacturing (preferred).

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Willingness to learn and follow technical procedures.

Ability to operate thermoforming equipment safely; lift and move tools weighing 45–65 lbs; push/pull up to 60 lbs at chest or waist height; stand for extended periods (8+ hours); comfortable working in heat, humidity, and production environments; ability to work around typical manufacturing hazards.
