Forklift Operator Warehouse

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois. The role involves weekly pay, benefits, and a career in a safe supply chain environment.

• Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  B Shift Wednesday 11:15 AM – 5:15 PM, Thursday – Saturday 5:15 AM – 4:45 PM

  Stand‑up High Reach and Dock Lift
• Position Type:
  Material Handler / Forklift Operator

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered‑industrial‑truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Team‑player attitude in a diverse work environment
• High level of accuracy, reliability, and initiative
• Good attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Accuracy and attention to detail, especially under pressure
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to use health and safety methods
• Flexible schedule available

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, and stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during the core shift hour of production
• Perform other duties as assigned
