Retail Display Installer- Electronics- Part Time

Overview

IL - DEKALB – Join Action Link as a Part‑Time Retail Merchandiser covering the Dekalb, IL 60115 area and surrounding locations. This role involves collaborating with global clients to create impactful in‑store displays.

• Complete projects at major retail stores within assigned territory.
• Ensure proper placement, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of promotional product displays.
• Represent global clients such as Microsoft, Samsung, T‑Mobile, Dyson, Bose, and Intel.
• Schedule up to 20 hours per week Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (no weekends or evenings).
• Submit same‑day digital survey reports with feedback and pictures for each store visit.
• Potential for additional hours covering larger regions or traveling.

• General merchandising projects paid at $17.00 per hour.
• Higher rates for technical projects when available.
• W2 employment with bi‑weekly pay and direct deposit.
• Optional 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
• Travel reimbursement for store‑to‑store drive time and mileage.
• Paid training time provided.
• Accrue PTO hours each week worked.

• Previous merchandising, 3PL, or relevant retail experience preferred.
• Ability to handle all levels of merchandising work within territory.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to follow complex instructions and diagrams.
• Independent work style with ability to collaborate with a small team when needed.
• Internet access, basic handheld tools, and a Wi‑Fi/GPS‑enabled smart device with latest OS update (laptop/desktop a plus).
• Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle access, and willingness to use vehicle for job duties.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
