Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Pay and Schedule
  • Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
  • Schedule:
    • B Shift Wednesday 11:15 AM - 5:15 PM
    • Thursday - Saturday 5:15 AM - 4:45 PM

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid forklift operator’s license certified
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse environment
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Highly thorough and dependable
  • Must be punctual with a good attendance record
  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work using health and safety methods
  • Must be available to work on flexible schedules across all shifts
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Accurately pick, pack, audit, and stage products and load/unload trucks
  • Handle day‑to‑day paperwork: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production
  • Perform other duties as assigned
