Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois. This role offers weekly pay, competitive benefits, and a career you can feel good about.
Pay and Schedule
- Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
- Additional Pay: $2.00 per hour for E shift
- Schedule:
E Shift (Monday – Friday, 5:15 PM – 1:45 AM)

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one year related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid forklift operator’s license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance record
- Performs work independently with minimal supervision and high initiative
- Demonstrates high accuracy even under pressure
- Can lift, push or pull up to 35 lbs
- Can stand for long periods
- Uses health and safety methods
- Available for flexible schedules on various shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
- Maintain performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induce, stage products, and load/unload trucks
- Handle paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems
- Perform additional duties as assigned
