Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Compensation & Schedule
  • Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
  • Schedule:

    Three-and-a-half day workweek
  • Shift: Sunday - Tuesday 5:15 am to 4:45 pm and Wednesday 5:15 am to 11:15 am

Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, staging products, and load/unload trucks
  • Manage day‑to‑day paperwork in the warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year of related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid forklift operator’s license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Qualifications to work in a diverse environment
  • Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance
  • Self‑motivated with initiative
  • Accurate under pressure
  • Ability to lift/push up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods
  • Adherence to health and safety methods
  • Available on a flexible schedule for required shifts
  • Detail-oriented with follow‑up practices
