Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Compensation & Schedule- Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
- Schedule:
Three-and-a-half day workweek - Shift: Sunday - Tuesday 5:15 am to 4:45 pm and Wednesday 5:15 am to 11:15 am

- Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
- Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, staging products, and load/unload trucks
- Manage day‑to‑day paperwork in the warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least one year of related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid forklift operator’s license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Qualifications to work in a diverse environment
- Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance
- Self‑motivated with initiative
- Accurate under pressure
- Ability to lift/push up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods
- Adherence to health and safety methods
- Available on a flexible schedule for required shifts
- Detail-oriented with follow‑up practices
