Position: Warehouse Material Handler Hiring Immediately

Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois.

Compensation

Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour. Pay will be issued weekly.

    Candy.
  • Equipment used:
    Stand-up High Reach and Dock Lift.
  • Temperature-controlled facility at 60°F.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
  • Valid Forklift Operator’s License (certified).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Team player able to work within a diverse environment.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly thorough and dependable.
  • Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possesses high initiative.
  • Demonstrates high accuracy, even under pressure.
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Adheres to health and safety methods.
  • Available to work on a flexible schedule across various shifts.
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.

Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
  • Observe performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
  • Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induct, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
  • Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in the warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours of production.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
