Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Dekalb, Illinois — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.
Pay- Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
- Overtime Pay: $30.45 per hour
- Additional Pay: $2.00 per hour added when assigned to E shift
- Schedule:
E Shift – Monday through Friday from 5:15 PM to 1:45 AM

Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- One (1) year or more related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
- Valid Forklift Operator's License (certified)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to maintain professional relationships at all levels
- Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance
- Self‑motivated with a high degree of initiative
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
- Must stand for long periods and work a flexible schedule across shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
- Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
- Adhere to performance measurement guidelines per contract
- Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote induction, staging, and load/unload trucks
- Handle paperwork: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
- Perform other duties as assigned
