Yard Spotter – Temp-to-Hire

A large, well-established logistics and distribution facility in DeKalb, IL is hiring a Temp-to-Hire Yard Spotter for day shift. This site supports high-volume warehousing, transportation coordination, and trailer movement across a busy yard.

Schedule & Pay:

• Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• $23 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Safely move and position trailers throughout the yard
• Coordinate trailer flow with warehouse and dock teams
• Perform basic equipment inspections and report issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
• Support dock operations when needed
• Follow all safety procedures and yard protocols

Requirements:

• Sit-down forklift experience (preferred)
• Yard spotter or trailer-moving experience is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment
• Strong communication and safety awareness
• Reliable and ready for long-term employment
