Starting Salary: $54,950.00
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate for elementary education
Must obtain GT Certification (30 hours)
Preferred additional subject area certifications: 4-8 Mathematics/Science
Ideal candidate will have experience with STEM/project based learning
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Experience facilitating "hands-on" experiments and projects that allow students to learn by doing and exploring
Excellent organization skills and an ability to coordinate multiple tasks and activities
Excellent teamwork skills and an ability to collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and students
Excellent work ethic, positive attitude, flexibility and willingness to perform tasks assigned
Passion for STEM education and a commitment to fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in young learners
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area(s)
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check prior to starting employment
