Dietitian - Laughlin AFB, TX

Serves as the performance nutrition subject matter expert, delivering nutrition education, coaching, and consultation to optimize the health, readiness, and performance of Service Members. Develops and implements performance nutrition programs and curriculum that support operational, training, and wellness objectives. Partners closely with interdisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition strategies that enhance physical performance, recovery, cognitive function, and body composition outcomes while providing mentorship and support to unit-level personnel.

• Develop and Manages Performance Nutrition Programs:
  Leads the development and implementation of performance nutrition policies, curriculum, and educational initiatives aligned with mission and command requirements. (20%)
• Serves as the Nutrition Subject Matter Expert and Mentor:
  Advises leadership, contributes to program assessments and improvements, develops evidence-based resources, and mentors unit-level personnel on the delivery of performance nutrition programs. (20%)
• Provides Nutrition Education and
  
  Coaching:
  
  Delivers individual and group nutrition counseling, education, and performance coaching to enhance health, readiness, and operational performance. (20%)
• Collaborates with Human Performance Teams:
  Integrates nutrition strategies with multidisciplinary teams to support physical performance, injury recovery, cognitive function, sleep optimization, and overall mission readiness. (20%)
• Supports Body Composition and Weight Management Programs:
  Provides specialized guidance and ongoing support to personnel enrolled in body composition or weight management programs, promoting sustainable lifestyle and behavioral changes. (20%)

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
• Maintains all required professional credentials and licensure; sustains Medical Group credentialing and privileging.
• 3+ years of post-graduate experience as a Registered Dietitian, with a demonstrated focus on performance nutrition for athletes or tactical populations.
• Current knowledge of industry best practices and research in performance nutrition.
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering nutrition education programs and training materials for athletes or tactical populations.
• Ability to work in dynamic environments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support mission-focused care.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information to service members, leaders, and healthcare professionals.
• Willingness to travel.
• Proficient in the use of computers, software, and technology to document work performed, utilization, and other required information.
