• Repair engines, sheet metal, and structural, hydraulic, electrical, power train and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty to meet assigned missions.
• Provide input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage preparation (ECOD) and assist in recommending changes to MWO.
• Prioritize workloads and lead teams through more complex aircraft‑related tasks. Inspect and mentor Mechanic IIs and Is.
• Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
• Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power‑plant systems to diagnose equipment malfunctions, restore operation, and solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals.
• Use aircraft‑specific tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet‑metal brakes, and shears.

• Working knowledge of technical publications.
• Ability to receive technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician and lead teams on complex tasks.
• Prioritize workload to maintain project schedules.
• Specialization in sheet‑metal, electric work, avionics, turbine jet engines, or other aircraft systems disciplines, including blade blending and borescope experience.
• Thorough knowledge and maintenance experience of turbine jet engines.
• May be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
