JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Streets & Drainage Superintendent, performs a variety of clerical and cashier duties requiring specialized knowledge of departmental operations. Performs other related duties as required.
Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One-year experience in related field preferred.
- Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License at the time of hire required
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Requires knowledge of English, grammar, spelling, punctuation and math. Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
- Demonstrates courteous and effective working skill with the public, other departments, coworkers, and contractors.
- Excellent work history and attendance record
- Ability to interpret oral and written instructions and refers deviations, problems or unfamiliar situations to supervisor for proper decisions and guidance.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, other departments and the general public
