Position LocationThis position will be based onsite at the Laughlin AFB in Del Rio, Texas.
Job OverviewPerform various functions and incidental services associated with repairs on an array of heavy and light vehicles to support the operational mission.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair refueling truck and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair various types of motor vehicles and related equipment, including engines, drive lines, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Strictly adhere to OSHA and AFOSH safety standards.
- Perform on‑call duty as required.
- Account for hand tools and shop equipment.
- Perform normal maintenance on shop equipment and maintain cleanliness of the shop area.
- May be assigned additional duties involving accountability for Government Furnished items.
- Respond to operational situations as they arise and as instructed by supervisory personnel.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Perform all other work‑related duties assigned.
- Diagnose and repair refueling truck and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair various types of motor vehicles and related equipment, including engines, drive lines, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Strictly adhere to OSHA and AFOSH safety standards.
- Required to perform on‑call duty.
- Working knowledge of motor vehicles.
- ASE as Medium/Heavy Truck Technician.
- Current Texas Class A CDL Driver’s license.
