As a Barista, you will serve customers, provide exceptional customer service, assist with food and beverage selections, and maintain a warm and friendly atmosphere that encourages guests to return.
What Your Day Will Look Like- Learn and possess complete knowledge of the coffee menu and food choices
- Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink and food menu; answer questions
- Keep work area and customer area clean and free of clutter
- Obtain proper coffee knowledge to assist guests appropriately
- Prepare and serve coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
- Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stock brewing equipment; manage supplies
- Ensure equipment runs smoothly by following operating instructions and maintaining cleanliness
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading coffee, retail and food service publications, and attending industry seminars or classes
- Arrive promptly and in full uniform for all scheduled shifts, including mandatory meetings
- Leave a positive impression on customers to encourage repeat visits and word-of-mouth promotion
- Thank customers for visiting and invite them to return again
- Open availability to work required shifts and times.
- One year of barista experience (preferred)
- Basic math skills (able to add, subtract and give accurate change to customers)
- Legible handwriting
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
- U.S. work authorization is required.
