Job Description
Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Recruitment reports directly to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. The primary responsibilities include collaborating and implementing all recruitment efforts for Transfer. The Associate Director of Recruitment collaborates with Undergraduate Admissions counterparts to develop and implement key strategies for attracting and converting prospective students to meet admissions goals. As the senior member of the staff, the Associate Director of Recruitment will support office operations, coordinating processing and reading of admissions applications, and share responsibility of staff training and development, and other duties as requested.
The Associate will be involved in all phases of the admissions program, including travel, school visitation, territorial management and correspondence. Responsibilities will also include tele-counseling, interviewing, and application evaluation. The Associate Director will have staff supervisory responsibilities and will oversee the Universities three Assistant Directors of Regional Recruitment and an Admission Recruiter that supports transfer recruitment.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Employment duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Successfully manage the recruitment, engagement, and enrollment of qualified transfer and transfer international students.
- Maintain established relationships with international partners.
- Grow transfer population through articulation agreements with two-year institutions.
- Assist in the development of transfer and international recruitment strategies.
- Meet or exceed all department goals.
- Represent the University in a speaking capacity at on-and-off campus student-parent programs; participate, as needed, in the general function of the office – student interviews, school visitations, college fairs, etc.
- Work with department leadership to ensure that daily functions and responsibilities are being carried out by our admissions staff.
- Show initiative and leadership in assuming new responsibilities, identifying enrollment opportunities, and setting a standard of professionalism for the admissions staff.
- Recommend policy and practices designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the admissions office.
- Represent the University in a professional manner to all constituents; and other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
- Extensive travel by air and automobile, both in and out of state.
- Extended working hours: evenings, weekends and some holiday hours, are expected.
- Repetitive lifting of printed materials and presentation equipment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The Associate Director of Recruitment will need:
- Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills producing and presenting information in a concise and compelling manner.
- Ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial environment committed to high standards of performance and ambitious goals for growth and institutional development.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team and foster collegial relationships with diverse constituencies, such as faculty, students, alumnae, and staff.
- Strong computer skills and experience with database management.
- Demonstrated competency in data collection and analysis relevant to interpreting market trends, competition, and admissions and enrollment statistics.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.
- Must be able to work varied hours: regular hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Master's degree preferred.
- 4-6 years of higher education experience in an admission office or marketing office, or related student-services field preferred.
- Possession and maintenance of valid Florida driver's license and an insurable driving record.

Candidates should have exceptional management skills and a minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience in college admissions. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, comfortable with data and research, able to manage multiple priorities and exhibit grace under pressure.
