Responsibilities- Welcoming patients upon arrival and directing them to the appropriate area.
- Answering phone calls promptly and professionally, scheduling appointments, and managing cancellations.
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage scheduling effectively to optimize provider time.
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding their care, treatment options, and office policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical regulations.
- Support the administrative team in managing office operations and workflow.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to relay important patient information and updates.
- Apply active listening, empathy, and a professional manner with patients.
- Administrative tasks including maintaining patient records electronically, documentation, and insurance information.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Managing appointment schedules and calendar.
- Processing new patient intake forms and paperwork.
- Maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
- Operate standard office equipment.
- Proven experience in medical administrative support or a similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
- Experience in a physical therapy or chiropractic office is a plus but not required.
