IT Specialist – Full TimeTechnology that supports better care.
We are seeking a knowledgeable, service-oriented IT Specialist to support the technology needs of our growing Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This position plays an important role in keeping our team connected, our systems operating efficiently, and our technology secure so that our clinical and administrative teams can remain focused on providing high-quality care to the communities we serve.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who is comfortable supporting end users, troubleshooting hardware and software, managing access and equipment, and working with vendors and technology partners.
Experience with data analytics, reporting, dashboards, or healthcare data is a strong plus and will provide an opportunity to contribute beyond traditional IT support.
Provide day-to-day technical support to team members across clinical and administrative locations, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, printer, telephone, and connectivity issues.
Serve as a primary point of contact for IT support requests, resolving issues directly when possible and escalating more complex matters to appropriate vendors or technology partners.
Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and replace computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other technology equipment.
Set up technology, system access, and equipment for new hires, transfers, and other personnel changes in coordination with Human Resources and department leadership.
Promptly disable or modify system access when team members separate from the organization or change roles.
Administer and maintain user accounts, permissions, passwords, email accounts, shared drives, and other assigned systems in accordance with established security protocols.
Assist with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and other business applications.
Support technology used within the clinical environment, including workstations, peripheral devices, and interfaces necessary for patient care operations.
Provide technical support related to the organization's Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other healthcare applications, working with application vendors as appropriate.
Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN, and other infrastructure-related concerns.
Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, including endpoint security, access controls, phishing awareness, system updates, and other safeguards designed to protect organizational and patient information.
Support compliance with HIPAA Security requirements and organizational policies related to electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI), confidentiality, access, and information security.
Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of computers, mobile devices, software licenses, peripherals, and other technology assets.
Coordinate equipment deployment, replacement, repair, and disposal while maintaining appropriate documentation and security controls.
Work with third-party IT vendors, telecommunications providers, software vendors, and other partners to troubleshoot issues and coordinate projects.
Assist with system upgrades, implementations, migrations, testing, and other technology projects.
Develop and maintain IT procedures, troubleshooting guides, system documentation, and other technical resources.
Educate team members on basic technology use, cybersecurity practices, and appropriate handling of organizational information.
Identify opportunities to improve technology processes, system utilization, workflow efficiency, and the overall end-user experience.
Participate in organizational quality improvement, compliance, emergency preparedness, and other initiatives as assigned.
While this is primarily an IT support position, we would especially like to hear from candidates who can also help us turn data into useful information.
Experience in any of the following areas is highly desirable:
Extracting, cleaning, validating, and analyzing data from multiple systems.
Creating recurring operational, clinical, financial, or quality reports.
Developing dashboards and visualizations that help leadership monitor trends and performance.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, charts, data validation, and data manipulation.
Experience with
Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and business intelligence tools

Identifying data inconsistencies and working with departments to improve data integrity.
Automating routine reports or improving manual reporting processes.
Working with healthcare data, EHR reporting, quality measures, population health data, or FQHC reporting.
