Sales Manager

Position Summary

The Sales Manager, along with the Credit Manager, is the second in authority at the individual branch location. The Sales Manager performs a wide variety of job functions under the direction of the General Manager, assisting and coordinating store activities to ensure safe, professional, and profitable operations. The Sales Manager is accountable for meeting company objectives, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to company policies.

• Acquire and maintain customers
• Attend to customer concerns immediately
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes
• Decipher, prepare, and review store reports
• Ensure adequate availability of merchandise at all times
• Fill out paperwork for submission to corporate support
• Follow monthly marketing plans and maintain internal quality‑control standards
• Implement sales and marketing programs
• Maintain detailed operating records
• Maintain detailed records of financial‑services transactions
• Manage inventory and cash assets
• Ensure all merchandise is priced appropriately
• Prepare daily work schedules, delivery schedules, assign tasks, and enforce company policy
• Reconcile daily transactions
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary for effective store management

Minimum two years of experience in Rent‑to‑Own, retail, or similar business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales, and merchandising.

• Routine lifting, loading, moving, and use of a dolly for merchandise weighing 50–300 lbs.
• Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching, and grabbing as required
• Ability to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronics
• Prolonged driving and standing
• Capacity to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions
