MBI is seeking a detail‑oriented Bindery/Finishing Operator to join our production team in DeLand, FL. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and takes pride in precision, consistency, and high‑quality work.
You will be responsible for operating and maintaining bindery and finishing equipment, including UV coating, laminating, die‑cutting, cutting, folding, gluing, and stitching. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow established processes, and a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and meeting production deadlines.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and maintain finishing and bindery equipment, including UV coaters, laminators, die‑cutting, cutting, folding, gluing, and stitching machines
- Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production schedules
- Monitor machine performance and material quality throughout production runs
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and tolerances
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency
- Coordinate job flow in alignment with production schedules and priorities
- Prepare and stage materials for finishing and bindery processes
- Complete and maintain accurate production logs, material usage, and machine settings
- Perform routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in bindery, print production, or related field
- Knowledge of bindery equipment operation and procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to production specifications
- Familiarity with workplace safety regulations
Preferred (but not a must):
- Experience in a high‑volume print or direct mail environment
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules and work orders
Compensation: $18 - 20 per hour
