CNC Machinist
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to manufacture precision components that support Pall's production and customer requirements. This position reports to the Production Supervisor, is part of the Operations team located in DeLand, Florida and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to manufacture parts in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and production schedules.
- Inspect machined components using precision measuring instruments to verify quality requirements and ensure compliance with established standards.
- Support continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High school diploma or GED and experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and technical specifications.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum 8 hours per day.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials, tooling, and machined components up to 50 lbs.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Multi-axis CNC machining, CNC programming, or editing machine programs.
- Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Danaher Business System (DBS) tools.
- Machining stainless steel, high-performance alloys, or aerospace/industrial components.
