DescriptionYou Thrive Florida is looking for an outgoing, engaging, and relationship-driven PFCE Coordinator to lead family engagement and community partnership efforts across our Early Learning Programs. This highly visible, regional role, is responsible for building strong connections with families, staff, and community partners, leading trainings and events, and advancing parent leadership and school readiness outcomes. The ideal candidate is confident, self-directed, adaptable, and energized by working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
Frequent travel throughout Hernando, Sumter, and Volusia counties is an essential part of this role, so this opportunity is best suited for someone who enjoys being in the field representing the organization and building strong connections.
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE) Coordinator is a highly visible, relationship-driven professional responsible for leading and advancing family engagement and community partnership efforts across You Thrive Florida's Early Learning Programs. This position ensures full implementation of the Head Start PFCE Framework, delivering services that are systemic, integrated, and outcome-focused to strengthen family well-being, promote parent leadership, and support school readiness.
The PFCE Coordinator collaborates closely with ERSEA leadership, Family Advocates, and program staff while actively engaging families and community partners across multiple counties. This is a multi-site, regional role based in either Hernando or Volusia County, requiring frequent travel and a proactive individual who thrives in building connections, leading engagement efforts, and representing the organization in diverse community settings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the PFCE Framework, ensuring full alignment with Head Start Performance Standards and program goals.
- Design, implement, and monitor program-wide PFCE strategies that promote family well-being, positive parent-child relationships, and family leadership outcomes.
- Analyze family engagement data, community assessment findings, and program reports to drive strategic decision-making and continuous program improvement.
- Lead and facilitate the PFCE Committee, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and integration of family engagement efforts across all service areas.
- Oversee and ensure compliance of Parent Committees and Policy Council processes, including elections, participation, and leadership development.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development of Policy Council members and parent leaders to strengthen meaningful parent voice in program governance.
- Partner with Family Advocates and site leadership to design and deliver impactful parent trainings, family engagement activities, and leadership opportunities.
- Develop and implement targeted strategies to increase engagement of fathers and male figures, including planning and leading fatherhood-focused initiatives and events.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with community organizations to expand access to resources that support family stability, health, and education outcomes.
- Serve as a visible, professional representative of the organization at community events, outreach efforts, and family engagement initiatives across all service areas.
- Lead recruitment and outreach strategies that promote enrollment, increase community awareness, and ensure program accessibility for eligible families.
- Establish and maintain systems to track, monitor, and report family engagement activities, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation in Child Plus.
- Develop and manage strategic communication and outreach efforts, including social media and digital platforms, to increase engagement, promote PFCE initiatives, and strengthen connections with families and the community.
