Weekend Nurse Supervisor

Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center of DeLand is seeking a Weekend Nurse Supervisor. This position involves overseeing nursing staff, managing patient care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities typically include:

• Staff Supervision: Overseeing and directing the activities of nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). This includes scheduling shifts, assigning duties, and providing guidance to ensure high‑quality care delivery.

• Patient Care Management: Assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments as necessary.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all nursing practices adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the facility's policies and procedures. This includes maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.

• Emergency Response: Responding promptly to emergency situations, making critical decisions, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to provide appropriate care.

• Communication: Serving as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, patients, and their families to ensure effective communication and address any concerns or needs.

Qualifications for this role generally include a valid RN/LPN License, previous nursing experience (preferably in a supervisory capacity), strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
