Coastline Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Service Technician with strong mechanical and electrical experience to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial power generation equipment. This role is responsible for diagnosing equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring generators and related systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Travel Requirement:
This role includes regional travel and project assignments lasting up to five days at a time. Candidates should be comfortable working on‑site at customer facilities as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial generators and associated systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Conduct load bank testing and performance verification
- Install and commission generator systems and related components
- Inspect equipment for safety, functionality, and compliance with standards
- Document service work, parts used, and findings accurately
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to supervisors and customers
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in proper working condition
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and company policies
- Proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
- Background in industrial, manufacturing, power generation, or heavy equipment environments
- Experience servicing or maintaining generators (diesel, natural gas, or industrial units)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally or regionally as needed
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in shop and field environments
- Technical certification, trade school, or military technical training
- Experience with ATS systems, switch gear, or control panels
- PLC or controls troubleshooting experience
- OEM generator certifications (Cummins, Kohler, CAT, Generac, etc.)
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently
- Clear communication and professional customer interaction
- Organized documentation and reporting skills

- Combination of shop and field service work
- Exposure to industrial environments, noise, heat, and outdoor conditions
