Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Deland, FL

Pay Range: $28-30/hour

Shift: Fri - Tue (off Wed & Thu), 2:00pm - 10:30pm

What's the Job?

• Perform maintenance and repairs (planned, unplanned, emergency) on production, processing, and packaging equipment, as well as utility systems, following all safety procedures
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to assess equipment reliability and performance
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance tasks
• Support the installation of new equipment and assist operators with troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Document all work performed accurately and maintain communication with other departments regarding equipment status and issues

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade school or technical training in electrical, mechanical, or related fields preferred
• 2 to 4 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electronic systems, preferably in manufacturing
• Experience with various equipment including motor control, process control, and packaging machinery
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals, and use maintenance tools safely and effectively
