the construction support office is where engineers are committed to providing practical assistance and direction within each discipline. We seek to accomplish this by fostering relations with our partners and improving policy and procedures related to construction contracts.

your specific responsibilities:as an intern in this office, you will be exposed to both construction and maintenance disciplines.
the intern shall assist in the review of driveway, drainage, and utility permits.
review maintenance of traffic (mot) plans.
assess proposed driveway connections in accordance with florida administrative code and fdot standards and criteria.
review and assess proposed drainage connections in accordance with applicable florida.
learn how to process permits and perform field reviews with permit coordinators.
generate monthly permit reports in microsoft access database.
assist with review monthly estimates for construction projects.
you will learn and assist construction project manager on different construction related projects.
the successful candidate will have the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities: knowledge of:- basic engineering principles and concepts.
- use of a personal computer (pc) and microsoft office applications, including outlook, excel, word, and power point.
- organization, time management, and task prioritization.
