Delano Schools is looking for patient, caring, supportive persons who can assist teachers in managing/monitoring student behaviors and provide assistance with academic work completion as well as functional skills.
Job Summary:The paraprofessional will support students with disabilities which may include academic, social, behavioral, and functional needs. The paraprofessional may work in mainstream classrooms or special education classrooms under the direction of licensed special education teachers. Additional duties may include supporting extracurricular activities or bus routes. On rare occasions, this assignment may entail work in evenings or weekends. The paraprofessional will utilize their skills daily for the purposes of data collection and communication to support the needs of students.
Qualifications:Associate Degree/equivalent or prior designation as a highly qualified paraprofessional. Alternatives to achieve highly qualified status are available. Consult with Anthony Frank for more information: afrank.mn.us
Experience with special education or people with disabilities is preferred. Necessary training is provided.
Locations & Shift Times:- 7:50am - 2:50pm (6.5 hours/day on student contact days), 30 minute unpaid lunch
- Specific start/end times may vary.
- Opportunities exist for paraprofessionals to assist with Special Education transportation and/or extra-curricular activities.
- Pay starts at $19.99 - $22.81/hour
