Roles & Responsibilities   Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans that restore function and independence
Deliver hands-on physical therapy interventions and evidence-based modalities to meet patient goals
Document progress thoroughly and timely in the patient record, ensuring clarity and continuity of care
Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care within the facility
Provide patient and caregiver education focused on safety, mobility and long-term function
Maintain equipment, follow infection control and facility safety protocols at all times
Qualifications   Current Physical Therapist license in California or eligibility to obtain one
Experience in physical therapy practice; prior correctional, medical-surgical, or rehab experience a plus
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willing to obtain
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Ability to pass facility-required background checks and comply with site onboarding requirements
Comfort working in a correctional facility environment and following institutional policies
Education   Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills   Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise and manual therapy techniques
Proficient in developing measurable treatment goals and progress notes
Knowledge of adaptive equipment, mobility aids and safe transfer techniques
Excellent communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
Familiarity with infection control, safety protocols and facility regulations
