Production Team Member (1st & 2nd Shift)

Full‑time Manual Labor position located in Delano, MN.

Salary Range: $18.00 to $22.00 hourly.

Shift

Schedule:

1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 4:00 pm (regular overtime September‑April, half days Fridays May‑August).
2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

• Process, mix, and bag bird seed.
• Handle materials, inventory, and assist with facility cleaning and maintenance.
• Lift, carry, and stack 50‑pound bags and pails as required.
• Read and follow production plans; set scale weights accurately.
• Feed bags through sewing machines or heat sealers.
• Stack completed bags onto pallets or into boxes.
• Move completed pallets using an electric pallet jack; shrink‑wrap pallets using automated and manual methods.
• Assist in mixing and blending feed.
• Load and unload trailers as needed.
• Operate a forklift (experience preferred; training provided).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the feed mill.
• Help customers in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Complete other tasks and special projects as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedules including weekends and some holidays.
• Commitment to plant operations and company goals.
• Forklift experience preferred or willingness to be trained.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and full panel drug test before starting.

• Stand for 10 hours per shift.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
• Lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Walk and stand for extended periods.
