Employment TypeContract – Auto Offer EPIC Backfill, Day Shift, 36 or 48 hours per week. Floating required to Bakersfield as needed.
SummaryThis role delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The RN supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Job Requirements- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred - Experience:
Acute care facility experience – Preferred - Licensure:
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice – Required - CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS‑BLS OR RQIBLS) – Required
- Facility Specific License/
Certifications:
AHA‑BLS or ARC‑BLS – Required - Department Specific License/
Certifications:
AHA‑NRP or ARC‑NALS – Required - S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE) – Required
- AHA‑ACLS or ARC‑ALS – Required
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) – Required
- Collect relevant data pertaining to the patient’s health or situation
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues
- Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment
- Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes and identify outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation
- Collaborate with the team of patients, family, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment
- Provide learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members
- Directly provide health information to patients, families, and the treatment team
- Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
Unit bed count:
9. Staffing:
Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays. Weekend coverage required: 6 shifts every 6 weeks. Floating to Bakersfield (AHBD L&D) as needed.
